A newsgroup is like an electronic bulletin board. Messages are posted
and people log on to read them and respond. Unlike email, the messages
are not delivered to an inbox, but stored on a computer (the news
server), and utilize a different delivery protocol (nntp). what do u
think of this definition

Marginal.

Insufficient distinction.

Indeed, since with e-mail too the message is delivered to a server and not
directly to the client computer.

The OP would benefit from considering what happens at all 5 of these: the
sending client, its local server (NNTP or SMTP), any intermediate servers,
the receiving client's server (NNTP or POP/IMAP), and the receiving
client.

The newsgroup title states how to create a newsgroup. I would say
enter url www.dejanews.com, select the group eg biz for business and
follow instructions to post which includes registering.
